OTRS-CacheRedis

Free

by Yuri Myasoedovindividual

A Redis-based cache backend implementation for OTRS and Znuny designed to improve performance.

This module allows OTRS and Znuny to use Redis as a centralized caching layer. It is particularly useful for high-performance requirements or multi-server (cluster) setups where a shared cache is necessary. Unlike the default file-based cache, Redis operates in-memory and provides faster access times and better handling of large datasets. Configuration is performed manually in the Kernel/Config.pm file. Note: Znuny versions 6.1 and higher include native Redis support; this module serves primarily as an alternative or for older versions.

Features

  • Redis Backend Support

Enables the use of Redis as the primary caching mechanism instead of file-based caching.

  • Cluster Compatibility

Facilitates shared caching across multiple application nodes in clustered environments.

  • Flexible Configuration

Supports custom Redis host, port, database index, and password authentication.
